Recently, Shanghai Institute of CleanTech Innovation (ICT Innovation, Shanghai Curui Low-Carbon Energy Technology Co., Ltd.) and BASF New Materials Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement in the field of rapid testing and evaluation of functional materials. Both sides will cooperate in the fields of testing, characterization, rapid evaluation and standard application of energy materials and catalysts, and integrate the superior resources of both sides to realize mutual benefit and create a new chapter in the development of catalytic materials technology.
ICT Innovation is one of the first start-up R&D and transformation functional platform in Shanghai. The platform takes "openness, public welfare and sustainability" as the value orientation and gathers enterprises, talents, technology and capital, consummates innovation chain and industry chain and leads the development of low-carbon technology. At the present stage, ICT Innovation focus on the "Carbon" and "Hydrogen" core technologies and solutions, lead technological innovation and break through the bottleneck problem, and serve the Yangtze River Delta Integration and the Belt and Road Initiative.
BASF New Materials Co., Ltd (BASF) is an important foreign-invested enterprise in the field of chemical industry in China. Its Shanghai Innovation Park is a global and Asia-Pacific R&D hub. BASF attaches great importance to the development of catalysts, and focuses on the R&D of advanced materials and systems, chemical process engineering, environmental catalysts and other related areas. BASF’s business including petroleum chemicals, intermediates, specific-function materials, catalysts, coatings, nutrition and health and agricultural solutions.
Recently, the R&D of catalytic materials is advancing rapidly, and the characterization and evaluation of materials is an important link to promote the industrialization and marketization of catalytic materials. The strong combination of ICT Innovation and BASF will achieve mutual benefit with their own respective advantages. Meanwhile, this combination will be helpful to establish international, open and inclusive cooperative exchanges, and will get through the barriers of communication and cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises and jointly promote the development of energy materials industry.
