On April 6th to 7th, Sun Yuhan, the leader of the Shanghai Functional Platform for Low-carbon Technology Innovation, led a team to visit and exchange in Taiyuan, Shanxi. The visiting group successively visited Shanxi National Industrial Technology Design Research Institute and Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone to conduct research and discussions on the development direction of the modern coal chemical industry and the implementation of low-carbon industrial projects during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Xiao Yaning, the member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager of Luan Group, as well as Ma Junxiang, the Vice General Manager of Luan Group, attended this research activity together.

       At Shanxi National Industrial Technology Design Research Institute, Sun Yuhan and his team, accompanied by the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman Chang Qing, visited various locations including the product workshop, 3D wire workshop, polyurethane laboratory, 3D printing platform, quality inspection room, and plastic additive laboratory. They gained in-depth understanding of the market prospects, development status, and production scale of industries such as polyurethane, rubber additives, and plastic additives. They also had discussions with the leaders of the research institute.

       During the meeting, the leaders of the six subsidiary companies of Shanxi National Industrial Technology Design Research Institute, including the Institute of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Applied Chemistry, Additive Manufacturing Institute, Institute of Glass and Ceramics, Institute of Electronics, and Institute of Solid Waste, respectively introduced the basic situation of their units and the achievements they have made in industrial technology, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation. Sun Yuhan expressed that the industrial advantages of the research institute are highly compatible with the direction of low-carbon development on the goals of carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, and green low-carbon development. He hoped that both parties could cooperate in areas such as polyurethane synthesis, 3D printing materials, and solid waste conversion, fully leveraging their respective resource advantages, promoting the implementation of green and low-carbon projects, and realizing the transition from engineering concepts to true commercial applications. Subsequently, the leaders from both sides further exchanged ideas on the current project progress and cooperation direction, and expressed high expectations for future deep cooperation.

       In the Shanxi Transformation Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, Li Jinping, the Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, warmly welcomed the visit of Sun Yuhan and his team. He focused on introducing the functional positioning, industrial planning, and spatial layout of the demonstration zone. During the discussion, the head of the platform reported on the basic situation of the platform and the 14th Five-Year Plan, and provided detailed information on the achievements of the platform in the construction of a high-end testing center and innovation in low-carbon energy technologies. Both leaders expressed their hopes to establish a good and effective cooperation mechanism based on this visit and discussion, and jointly promote the clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient utilization of clean energy, and accelerate the innovative development of the new energy industry.
