On April 15th, the 8th China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair (referred to as "CIIE") was opened at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office, and the Shanghai Municipal Government. The Shanghai Low-carbon Technology Innovation Functional Platform was invited to participate in the exhibition area of the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It exhibited a series of low-carbon technological innovations aimed at carbon neutrality. By building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy and chemical system, the platform aims to achieve low-carbon and green production and application of energy materials.

    During the exhibition, the Low-carbon Platform focused on presenting the overall plan for green carbon science and low-carbon circular development. It highlighted a batch of technological achievements with mature process conditions and commercial value in the field of low-carbon. Among them, the one-step efficient production of methyl formate through methanol oxidation provides an important means to alleviate the contradiction of excess methanol production capacity and increase the value of downstream products. The CH4/CO2 reforming-to-synthesis gas technology effectively achieves energy-saving, emission reduction, and resource utilization of greenhouse gases. Related technologies such as zinc-air batteries and CO2 hydrogenation to methanol have received widespread attention in the industry and attracted numerous consultations and negotiations.
