In the afternoon of
December 31, 2021, a delegation led by Chen Rong, a member of the Party
Committee of the Songjiang District People's Government, visited the Shanghai
Low-Carbon Technology Innovation Functional Platform (referred to as the
"Platform") for research and guidance. They were received by Wang
Hui, the executive in charge of the Platform, Wang Xiaoxian, the executive
director of Shanghai Shanmei High-Tech Research Institute Co., Ltd., Fan
Weiyao, the general manager of Shanghai Lanze Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and
Ju Haitao, the general manager of Gaolu Air Chemical Products (Shanghai) Energy
Technology Co., Ltd.
Chen Rong and her delegation visited the Particle Verification Platform, the Analysis and Testing Platform, and the Research and Development Laboratory. They focused on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the facilities, instrumentation, and technological research and development within each laboratory. Additionally, they received detailed presentations from the laboratory heads.
During the discussion session, Chen Rong inquired extensively about the hardware infrastructure, recruitment of high-caliber talent, and technology transfer efforts of the Low-Carbon Platform and Shanghai Shanmei Research Institute. She further expressed her interest in identifying any specific challenges that the platform may be facing and engaged in discussions with relevant departments present to explore potential solutions. Chen Rong encouraged the platform to expedite its development and output of achievements under the strategic guidance of the Songjiang G60 Science and Innovation Corridor. She suggested closer collaboration with Shanghai Shanmei Research Institute and upstream/downstream companies to leverage complementary strengths and establish a comprehensive low-carbon innovation supply chain. She emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the innovation hub function and enhancing the platform's influence and regional impact in Songjiang and the Yangtze River Delta region.
Being a forerunner and trailblazer in the low-carbon sector within the Songjiang G60 Science and Innovation Corridor, the platform will continue to exert sustained efforts. It aims for a higher-quality development and deeper industrial integration, seeking a transformation and upgrade to Platform 2.0. The platform is committed to fully leveraging its function and role as a wellspring of technological innovation, thus contributing to the realization of the national "dual carbon" strategic goals.
